DVDFab Passkey
DVDFab Passkey is a Windows-based driver that works on-the-fly to unprotect encrypted movie DVDs and Blu-ray discs. DVDFab Passkey is currently offered as a free beta version. The final version of the program will be commercial.
Guide
Step 1) Setup
Please download and install DVDFab Virtual Drive at http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm
After you download the installer of DVDFab Passkey, our wizard will guide you through the installing process.
Step 2) Start up
Start up DVDFab Passkey, the following welcome screen will appear. If you don’t want to see it again, check the box "Do not show again", then click "Start DVDFab Passkey".
When you touch the monkey head with mouse, there will be a window reminding you to insert disc to drive.
Insert your DVD disk to the DVD-ROM tray, specify the DVD disc's region code, then click OK. This pop-up window also can be disabled by checking "Do not show again".
Here DVDFab Passkey is automatically removing protections from this disc in the background while opening with monkey's eyes winking samultaneously.
After a short while, there would be a number "1" above the monkey's left ear, that means you get the unprotected disc in your drive, which can play with PowerDVD like the illustration below.
If you are using PowerDVD to copy DVD without enabling DVDFab Passkey, you will be asked to change
the driver's region settings. Please be careful to change it since when the region counter become 0, you
will have no chance to change it any more.
Step 3) Settings
After start up DVDFab Passkey, please left click on the monkey head in the system tray, you can get the settings window.
Here you can get the data info on the movie disc in the DVD drive, choose to run DVDFab Passkey at windows startup or not, specify the network connection, select the DVD/Blu-ray protections you need to remove, enable PathPlayer or not.

NOTE: DVDFab Passkey also can work with other burning software like Nero Express, if you have a DVD copy-protected or can not be read, you can enable DVDFab Passkey to remove the protections on this DVD, then start to burn with Nero Express.
