DVDFab ProfileEditor

1. Introduction

DVDFab Profile Editor, a specially designed device mainly to cater the potential needs of those advanced users, enables users to designate their own profiles based on specific circumstances. With this profile editor, users have the choices whether to save their self-made profiles to local HDD for personal use or share their fruits with millions of others worldwide by uploading to DVDFab website.

2. Interface Explanation

2.1 User Interface

Six sections compose the DVDFab Profile Editor Main Interface, which are: Profile Selection Section, Profile Name/Author Section, Device Section, 3D Device Section, Format Section, and 3D Format Section.

2.1.1 Profile Selection Section

Three radio buttons are introduced in this section: Create Profile, Modify Profile, and Share Profile. 

allows users to create their own new profile.

  allows users to modify an existing profile.

  allows users to upload the self-made profile to DVDFab website benefit other people.

2.1.2 Profile Name/Author Section

Upon creating new profile, name the profile itself and put the author’s name here respectively. While modifying an existing one, the profile name and its creator’s name will show automatically, which are for the sake of saving or uploading.

2.1.3 Device Section

All the supported brands/manufacturers are listed in the left navigation panel. By click the “Customize” button at the bottom of the navigation panel, users can choose their favorite brands to be listed here. If your device brand/manufacturer is not listed, just type it at the bottom box of this window, for example “Lenovo” and then press   button.

Under each brand zone, are the profiles of devices that are already supported, if your device is not listed, you can add it to the library, by clicking button.

2.1.4 3D Device Section

Similar to Device Section, this section is for the 3D displaying devices produced by several manufacturers. Find your or add your own as chapter 2.1.3.

2.1.5 Format Section

This section lists the supported containers and encoding formats of each profile.

2.1.6 3D Format Section

Similar to Format Section, this section lists the containers and encoding formats of each 3D profile.

2.2 Advanced Settings Interface

This interface includes Sample Importing page, Video Settings page, Audio Settings page and 3D Settings page.

2.2.1 Sample Importing page

Import a sample video from your HDD, then system will lead you to Video Settings page.

2.2.2 Video Settings page

At this page, users are available to set the Codec, Frame Resolution, Bit Rate, Frame Rate of the video.

Users can add their own Frame Resolution and Frame rate by clicking “Add” button, or delete the existing one by highlighting it and then “X” it:

2.2.3 Audio Settings page

Users can specify the Audio Format, Sample Rate, Audio Channel, Bit Rate by each dropdown selector and adjust Volume by the scroll bar.  

2.2.4 3D Settings page

At this page, users can set the 3D Formats, such as Anaglyph, Split Screen, Two Separate files or Two video streams in one file, Gain value and Visual Depth value by the scroll bars.

2.3 Profile Information and Saving

At this page, users can recheck the detailed information by previous steps before saving. If all is done, click button to save the profile to DVDFab directly:

 

Or, click button to save it to the default directory at C:\Users\User Account\AppData\Roaming\DVDFab

3. Create New Profile

Upon loading DVDFab Profile Editor, system will default to Create New Profile status, which can be easily seen from its highlighted icon. Users just need to choose one brand from the left navigation bar, Apple for example, and then click  button which directs you to the Advanced Settings page.

Then, please refer to chapter 2.2 to 2.3 which lead you through the whole process.

4. Modify Existing Profile

This part shows users how to modify an existing profile.

4.1 Choose an existing profile

Click button to select the profile you are going to reset, then at the pop up window, click “Customize” button to select one profile that you previously created, or click “System” button to choose one from the system profile library and press “OK”.

4.2 Reedit the chosen profile

Please refer to chapter 2.2 to 2.3 which lead you through the whole process.

5. Share Your Profile

If you want to share your self-made profile with other DVDFab users around the world, you can simply click button, then use your registered E-mail and Password at our Member Center to login:
