How to Convert DVD to iPad/iPad 2 with DVD to iPad/iPad 2 Ripper?
If you want to rip and convert your DVD to video for viewing on iPad, iPad 2, or iPad mini, you can use DVDFab DVD Ripper to do this. It can function as an easy to use DVD to iPad ripper, and you can set and customize freely to make the output what you want. Let’s dip into this simple tutorial about the operation steps.
Step 1: Start up DVDFab 9 and choose Ripper option
Start up DVDFab 9, and choose Ripper option on its welcome screen. Then you’ll be in this Ripper interface.
Step 2: Load in DVD source
Insert DVD into optical drive, or drag and drop the DVD folder/ISO on your hard drive of your PC, so that DVDFab will import it in. And the longest movie title will be selected after the movie is in. You can freely change the audio tracks and subtitles of the title.
Step 3: Choose an iPad profile
Now click the Profile box in the lower part to open Profile library. Just navigate to Device, and to Apple, then choose the iPad profile you like of all the Apple profiles.
Step 4: Set parameters and effect
OK. Now click Advanced Settings button behind Profile, and you’ll be led to set all video and audio parameters. Once the settings are done, click OK to turn back to the last interface.
OK. Now click Edit button to open Video Effect window, where you can resize the source aspect ratio and frame resolution.
And you can also crop the image for display on your iPad.
Step 5: Start conversion
OK. Now all settings are finished. You can preview the movie title in real time to check if everything is OK. Then hit Start button to start conversion.
During the conversion process, you can see all detailed progress info, and even preview the progress with images. If you want, you can choose Exit Program or Shut Down as self-implemented command when all tasks are done.
Then leave the rest to DVDFab. Very soon, everything will be done.
One more thing I think you need to know is that, after the conversion has been finished, DVDFab File Transfer, a free tool of DVDFab, will auto start up to help you transfer the converted file to your iTunes.
OK. Done. Have fun! And you can go to http://www.dvdfab.com/dvd-ripper.htm to see more details about DVD Ripper.
