Language:

You can select your desired language into which the program texts will be translated.

Output directory:

You can click the square button to choose the directory you want to save the log,ISO and temp files created by DVDFab.

Temporary directory:

DVDFab will rip the movie to the temp folder, then burn to blank disc. So please keep the free space the hard drive where temp folder is more than 10 GB. You can choose the directory of temp folder here.
Normally, DVDFab will use 'My Documents' as default.

Add Auto-play handler (Optionally, start DVDFab when DVD inserted)

Create Files in subfolders of Output Directory

This new feature creates a user option to write the output files to DVDFab's standard folder structure as with v3.x.x.x (check the box) or to write the files to the user specified location in the format {Target location\DVD Name\AUDIO_TS VIDEO_TS} (UNcheck the box).

Ask before overwriting the same file;

Will cause a confirmation box to be displayed if the operation would cause you to overwrite an existing file of the same name.

Delete temporary files when done:

To remove temp files ripped after the backup finishes (see the TIP below as you consider this setting)

Check for new version automatically:

If you enable this setting - the program will check to see if there is a new version of the program. This will occur about once per week. The "Check Now" button will immediately check for version updates.

Check for on-the-fly decrypter automatically:

If you run other decrpter software with DVDFab, such as DVD43 or AnyDVD, DVDFab Platinum will ask you to disable them for stable operation.

Disable Screensaver when Processing

This option can improve performance and prevent interruptions during the copy process.

Check for New Version Automatically

Checking this box will instruct DVDFab to check its home website for new version releases each time the programis started. It will not automatically download the update, you must do this manually. The "Check Now" button forces an immediate version check.

Check for DMA automatically:

If your system is using PIO mode - DVDFab will find this when you start the program and ask you if you want to enable DMA for DVD drive and hard disk. If DVDFab finds PIO transfer mode in enabled, a window will pop up with a button allowing you to assert DMA mode for optical drives and hard discs.
Press the button 'Reset DMA' to perform this function at times other than startup, such as after copying a dirty or scratched disc if read/write times become very slow.
After this you should restart your PC to make sure DMA mode is enabled.
The next time you start DVDFab this DMA enable window should not appear.

TIP It can be handy to leave the temp files in place and use them if you plan to do a DVD to Mobile conversion of the same title that you are backing up. Just remember to delete them when you've finished or your drive will fill up quickly.
